About the Role
Pressed Café is seeking an organized and results-driven Catering Coordinator to coordinate and grow our catering operations.
This role is responsible for coordinating catering events from initial inquiry through execution, ensuring seamless coordination, exceptional service, and high-quality food presentation. The Catering Coordinator plays a key role in driving catering sales, maintaining strong client relationships, and upholding Pressed Café’s standards at every off-site and in-house event.
You’ll balance sales, logistics, and operations, ensuring every event reflects the Pressed Café brand.
What You’ll Do
· Plan and coordinate catering events from inquiry to completion, including menu selection, logistics, and delivery timing, and communicate event staffing needs to the General Manager or Manager on Duty
· Serve as the primary point of contact for catering clients, ensuring clear communication and an exceptional experience
· Drive catering sales growth through relationship-building and proactive outreach
· Collaborate with kitchen leadership to confirm menus meet client preferences and dietary needs
· Coordinate with the kitchen team on food preparation, packaging, and presentation to ensure quality and brand consistency
· Support catering staff by working alongside them during event setup, service, and breakdown
· Deliver, set up, and serve food and beverages directly to catering clients and their guests
· Maintain compliance with food safety and handling standards
· Coordinate catering inventory and supplies, and place orders with approved vendors
· Track catering invoices and expenses to help maintain profitability
· Handle payments and cash transactions accurately when required
· Address client questions or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction and repeat business
What You Bring
· Proven experience in catering operations or restaurant events
· Strong understanding of food safety and food handling regulations
· Ability to coordinate multiple events and priorities simultaneously
· Experience working alongside catering or event staff in a fast-paced setting
· Strong financial acumen, including tracking budgets and monitoring costs
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Highly organized with strong attention to detail
· Ability to problem-solve quickly in a fast-paced environment
· Experience in quick-service or fast-casual restaurant operations preferred
· Bar or beverage program experience is a plus
Position Scope
· Reports to the General Manager
· Non-exempt, hourly position eligible to receive tips and gratuities
· Provides service directly to catering clients and their guests
· Has no managerial or supervisory responsibility. This role does not hire, fire, discipline, schedule, assign, or direct the work of other employees, and does not evaluate performance or make recommendations on hiring, firing, promotion, or other changes in employee status
Work Requirements
· Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for events
· Ability to stand and move for extended periods
· Ability to lift and transport catering equipment and supplies (up to 50 lbs)
· Comfortable working both on-site and off-site at event locations
