Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic 2nd Grade Teacher to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will inspire young learners, create engaging lesson plans, and foster a positive classroom atmosphere that promotes academic achievement and character development. Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with state standards.
- Create an engaging classroom environment that encourages curiosity, collaboration, and critical thinking.
- Use diverse instructional strategies including technology integration, hands-on activities, and differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
- Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations.
- Manage classroom behavior with effective behavior management techniques to ensure a safe and respectful learning space. Teach Like a Champion experience preferred
- Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and families to support students’ individual learning plans, including those with special education needs
- Incorporate early childhood education principles and early intervention strategies to support developmental milestones.
- Engage daily small group RTI centers to provide enrichment and intervention.
Skills
- Proven experience in classroom management within a primary or elementary setting.
- Strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills to connect effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Expertise in lesson planning across multiple subjects with a focus on literacy education and math fundamentals.
- Proficiency in the use of various learning technology tools to enhance instruction and student engagement.
- Familiarity with special education practices and child study team referral
- Ability to adapt teaching methods for diverse learners using differentiated instruction techniques.
