- Oversee metadata management, data lineage tracking, and regulatory compliance for all datasets stored within the Data Lake environment.
- Integrate Unity Catalog and OpenLineage methodologies to enhance discoverability, classification, and security of mission-critical datasets.
- Implement role-based access control (RBAC) measures, ensuring that authorized personnel access data per DoD and NIST 800-53 compliance guidelines.
- Submit the Data Governance & Compliance Report, providing an assessment of data lineage, regulatory adherence, and metadata completeness.
Experience:
- Possess the knowledge and capability to establish, enforce, and maintain data governance policies and frameworks across cloud-based and on premises environments.
- Personnel must be proficient in metadata management, data lineage tracking, data cataloging, and regulatory compliance standards such as DoD IL-4/IL-5, FedRAMP, and NIST 800-53 Rev. 5.
- Experience with data classification models, access controls, and policy-based data lifecycle management is required.
- Personnel must have demonstrated experience in developing and managing data governance frameworks, implementing metadata and data cataloging solutions, and ensuring compliance with DoD and IC data security policies.
- Experience with tools such as Databricks Unity Catalog, Collibra, Alation, AWS Glue, or Azure Purview is required.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Data Management, Information Science, Computer Science, or a related field, or five (5) years of equivalent experience in data governance.
- Desirable but not required certifications include Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), DAMA Certified Data Governance Professional (DGSP), or Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate.
- An active TS/SCI clearance.
