What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Lunch Coverage/Front Desk Position position at Preschool at The New Day School?
Here at The New Day School's preschool we are looking for magical teachers who love what they do. Our preschool is a Christian school located in northwest Houston. Our preschool has children ages 2 months - 5 years. We have two teachers in each classroom. We are passionate about children and aim to enhance the life of every child that walks through our school doors. We are currently looking to add a lunch coverage floating teacher, who can also assist with reception and front desk throughout the day. Looking for warm, caring, teachers who have experience in customer service as well as childcare.
Some of the classroom lunch coverage responsibilities include:
- Supervising children at all times
- Planning daily learning activities
- Effectively managing the preschool classroom
- Ensuring children are safe and are following classroom rules
- Engaging with children and playing with them
- Effectively communicating with children, coworkers and parents
Childcare Qualifications
- Previous experience in childcare, preschool teaching, or other related fields
- Passionate about working with children in a childcare setting
- Positive and patient demeanor with all preschool children
- Energetic and motivated childcare giver
- High School Diploma
Front Desk Duties Include
- Answering school phone and answering basic information questions about school.
- Greets parents and engages in every day conversations.
- Answers basic questions for parents and staff as needed.
- Supporting classrooms and admin with simple tasks.
- Help maintain school every day needs while admin are in meetings.
- Coverage for restroom breaks or classroom needs.
