Recreation Therapist – Woodside Place of Washington
Washington, PA – Full-time; Hourly, Non-exempt; M-F; 9am-5:30pm, occasional evenings/weekend shifts
Starting Pay: $18.47/hour - $25.39/hour; Depending on experience

Woodside Place of Washington is our residential community for people living with dementia on our Washington, PA campus. Woodside Place offers innovative dementia care that meets the physical, social, and psychological needs of people living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia conditions. Our unique approach has been replicated nationally and internationally and remains the gold standard in dementia care. Woodside Place also offers full-day and half-day adult day services.
The Recreation Therapist is responsible for providing services designed to meet the recreational, educational, social and leisure time needs of all residents. This position conducts therapeutic recreation programs, develops appropriate intervention strategies and plans, as assigned, to meet the recreational and psychosocial needs of residents. The principals, standards and documentation requirements of a therapeutic recreation program are applied to all residents.

- Bachelor of Science in Recreation Therapy.
- At least one year of experience (this can include an internship) in healthcare in a patient/resident care setting
- National Council of Therapeutic Recreation Certification must be completed within one year of employment if not already certified.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft software.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
