Job Summary

Responsible for screening, applications, and intake of guests into Family and Individual Rapid Exit (FIRE) program activities with the primary goal rapidly exiting from the homeless system to stable housing. The Intake Specialist is responsible for helping applicants complete the application process, gathering all necessary documentation to determine eligibility, and preparing them for approval for Rapid Exit or Shallow Subsidies. Services must be coordinated with all relevant departments and must fall within the mission of Presbyterian Night Shelter.

Qualifications

At least one year of relevant experience providing similar services to a comparable population required.

Experience working with diverse and/or difficult populations desired.

Experience working with the homeless population is preferred.

Experience working with individuals with mental illness is preferred.

Current knowledge of the local network of services preferred.

Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required.

Valid driver license and proof of liability insurance is required.

Rate of Pay

$17.31 per hour
