As a Physical Therapist Assistant you will be responsible to:
- Provide treatment per the established plan of care and in accordance with physician orders.
- Assist in ide ntifying goals, prioritizing treatment, and selecting appropriate interventions .
- Continuously assess changes in functional deficits and adjust treatment as appropriate .
- P rovide education to residents /clients , families, caregivers, and staff.
- Collaborate with therapist o n observations, progress towards goals, and recommended updates to plan of care and discharge.
- Provide accurate and timely documentation & billing in electronic medical record.
- Demonstrate understanding and knowledge of payer sources and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with therapist on supervisory visit s per regulations .
- Communicate effectively with residents/clients, families, caregivers, physicians, referral sources, and interdisciplinary team .
- Graduate for an accredited program for physical therapy assistants.
- Current licensure in the state of practice as required
- Competence in physical therapy treatment and documentation according to the Standards of Practice
- Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies.
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.
