Accounting & HR Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounting and HR Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing financial records, supporting payroll processes, assisting with human resources functions and office management. Your energetic approach will help ensure smooth financial operations and effective HR administration, contributing to the overall success of our organization. Responsibilities

• Perform data entry and maintain accurate records using QuickBooks and UKG.
• Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
• Support payroll management through UKG processing employee hours, benefits, and tax information.
• Assist with tax preparation and compliance activities related to governmental accounting standards.
• Maintain employee records, process onboarding documents, and assist with benefits administration.
• Oversee daily office operations and administrative workflows.
• Maintain organized systems for records, documents, and internal processes.
• Coordinate communication across departments and support leadership initiatives.
• Ensure efficient handling of vendor relationships, supplies, and office needs.

Experience

• Proven experience in corporate accounting or governmental accounting environments with a strong understanding of financial concepts
• Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Procore, Paylocity or similar platforms; UKG knowledge preferred.
• Knowledge of payroll systems including QuickBooks and UKG.
• Strong skills in data entry, account analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, journal entries, and bookkeeping practices.
• Excellent math skills with high attention to detail for account reconciliation and account analysis tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
