Position Summary:
We are seeking a responsible and hardworking individual for the role of Equipment Delivery & Yard Associate at our Kubota dealership. This position is responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of equipment, maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the yard, and supporting the setup of new equipment for customers. The ideal candidate will be dependable, customer-focused, and able to handle heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Delivery: (75%)
- Safely pick up and deliver equipment to customers, providing timely and professional service.
- Ensure delivery paperwork is accurate and complete.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers during deliveries.
Loading and Unloading:
- Assist in loading and unloading equipment from delivery trucks, ensuring careful handling and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Safely secure equipment during transport to prevent damage.
Yard Maintenance:
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the yard and storage areas, performing routine cleanup tasks.
- Organize and inventory equipment and materials to ensure efficient workflow.
Equipment Setup:
- Assist in the preparation and setup of new equipment for delivery, ensuring that all equipment is in perfect working condition prior to dispatch.
- Perform pre-delivery inspections and basic equipment maintenance as needed.
General Assistance:
- Provide support to the service department and other operational areas as needed.
- Assist with general maintenance tasks and projects as assigned by the Service Manager.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class A CDL
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating and handling heavy equipment is preferred.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Basic mechanical knowledge and comfort working with machinery.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
