Experienced Interior Painter & Plasterer

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Interior Painter & Plasterer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming interior spaces through expert painting and plastering techniques, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet client specifications and safety standards. Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting and plastering by cleaning, sanding, patching, and applying primer to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality.
• Execute interior painting tasks using brush, roller, spray guns (including conventional spray painting), and other hand tools with precision and attention to detail.
• Apply plaster, stucco, caulking, and other finishing materials to walls, ceilings, and structural surfaces to achieve smooth, durable finishes aligned with project specifications.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and surface preparation instructions to accurately execute renovation or remodeling projects.
• Use ladders and scaffolding safely to access high or hard-to-reach areas while adhering strictly to safety regulations and respiratory protection protocols.
• Perform surface repairs on existing structures during renovation projects by patching cracks or holes with appropriate materials.
• Assist with construction estimating tasks related to paint quantities, surface preparation materials, and plastering supplies when needed.
• Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools such as hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers, and masonry equipment; ensure all safety regulations are followed at all times.
• Collaborate effectively with team members including carpenters, masons, handyman personnel, and project managers to ensure seamless project execution.
• Conduct visual color comparisons to match paint shades accurately; utilize knowledge of color theory for aesthetic consistency across projects.

Skills

• Extensive experience in residential painting, commercial painting, industrial painting, and structural surface finishing.
• Proficiency with construction estimating related to paint supplies and surface preparation materials.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations including proper use of respiratory protection and adherence to safety protocols on construction sites.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools such as brushes, rollers, caulking guns; power tools including paint sprayers (conventional spraying), sanders, drills; masonry tools for plastering or stucco application.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately for precise application of finishes.
• Expertise in surface preparation techniques specific to construction painting surfaces for optimal results during renovation or remodeling projects.
• Knowledge of color theory principles for achieving desired aesthetic effects in interior spaces.
• Experience with fixture installation during remodeling projects; basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to coatings or material quantities.
• Familiarity with masonry work such as stucco application or patching structural surfaces when required.
• Demonstrated capability in maintaining safety standards including ladder use at heights and adherence to safety regulations on construction sites.
