THE INTERIOR DESIGN GROUP LTD. (IDG) is a commercial architecture and interior design firm with over 40 years of experience delivering thoughtful, high-quality design solutions.
We are seeking a full-time Commercial Interior Designer or Project Architect with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience to join our team.
IDG works on a diverse range of commercial projects including corporate office interiors, tenant buildouts, healthcare, retail, and workplace environments throughout the Chicagoland area and beyond.
This position involves working closely with clients and project teams through multiple phases of a project, from concept through construction. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
This position is in-person at our Lisle, Illinois office and requires candidates who currently reside within commuting distance of the Chicagoland area.
Responsibilities:
- Attend and participate in client meetings
- Space planning and design development
- Prepare and supervise construction documents
- Coordinate with consultants and project teams
- Assist with bid negotiation and contract administration
- Conduct site visits and attend project meetings as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of commercial architecture or interior design experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field
- Strong understanding of building codes, BOMA area calculations, and ADA compliance
- Proficiency in AutoCAD required
- REVIT experience is beneficial
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Must reside within reasonable commuting distance of Lisle, IL
- Reliable transportation for meetings and job site visits
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States
Compensation
Salary starting at $60,000 , with final compensation based on experience and qualifications.
