Duties

• Safely operate various delivery vehicles including box trucks and driver vehicles with manual transmission to transport packages efficiently.
• Load and unload goods using equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks, ensuring proper handling of heavy or bulky items.
• Follow designated routes to deliver packages accurately and on schedule, adjusting plans as needed for traffic or other delays.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally with recipients, answering questions, and addressing concerns politely.
• Verify delivery details, obtain signatures when required, and document all deliveries meticulously for record-keeping.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met; report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory management, moving stock within the facility, or organizing shipments as necessary.

Experience

• Prior delivery driver experience with a proven track record of route driving and timely deliveries.
• Warehouse experience including load & unload operations, heavy lifting, and moving goods efficiently.
• Commercial driving skills with a valid driver license; experience operating box trucks or similar vehicles preferred.
• Familiarity with forklift operation and pallet jack handling to support loading/unloading processes.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in diverse situations.
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy lifting, vehicle operation, and traffic regulations.
• Experience working with manual transmission vehicles is advantageous but not mandatory if willing to learn.
