Technical Trainer – Semiconductor Industry

Technical Trainer (Hybrid role) - Long term W2 role

Location - Tualatin, OR

Summary: As a part of the training staff, the Technical Trainer will develop the technical capabilities of customer and engineers through effective and efficient knowledge and skill transfer to enable optimized installation, performance, and productivity of systems in customer fabs

• Hardware training – system operations, preventive maintenance, and tool calibration
• Software training – use of our research software products in troubleshooting and tool performance monitoring

The candidates should have hardware maintenance experience on large equipment (Semiconductor, Military, other).

• The ideal candidate would be someone who already teaches hardware maintenance in the semiconductor industry
• We can work with folks who have teaching experience and other maintenance experience outside of this industry (Military and Energy sectors have provided good candidates in the past; but, we are open to folks who have proven maintenance experience)
• We can work with folks who have maintenance experience in the semiconductor industry and some level of instructor experience

Job Responsibilities:

Ideal Skills & Requirements:

• Conducts technical training courses for customers and/or employees in the use of complex situations for multiple products.
• Works with engineering, technical support, and instructional design team to ensure that course material reflects current product features.
• Instructs participants in both classroom lectures and laboratory sessions.
• Follows up to determine applicability of course material.
• Helps maintain Training equipment for class use.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Capital equipment hardware experience. (Maintenance)
• Excellent people skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively and efficiently with diverse teams, customers, internal and external partners.
• Additional preferred skills:
• Familiarity with working in the semiconductor Industry.
• Experience in conducting training using ADDIE, or similar processes. Experienced with Microsoft Suite and Virtual Reality helpful but not required.

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
