Position Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Plant Safety Engineer to join our safety team. The successful candidate will assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote a culture of safety within our plant operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, ANSI, NFPA).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- EHS background required in the manufacturing or automotive industry
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant internships or co-op experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- OSHA certification or other relevant safety certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, SMS).

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, and other relevant regulations.
- Participate in the development and implementation of safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Support incident investigations, including root cause analysis and the development of corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Assist in maintaining safety records, preparing reports, and analyzing safety data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote and enforce safety standards and practices.
- Participate in safety meetings and provide recommendations for continuous improvement in safety performance.
- Conduct safety training sessions for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Assist in the implementation of emergency response plans and conduct safety drills.
