We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing multiple production areas and ensuring that safety, quality, productivity, and operational goals are consistently achieved across all shifts.
The Manufacturing Manager will lead teams through continuous improvement initiatives, lean manufacturing practices, employee development programs, and operational excellence efforts. This position requires a strong leader who can effectively manage cross-functional processes, drive performance, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Safety & Compliance
- Maintain a safe and secure work environment by promoting hazard awareness and safe work practices.
- Conduct safety inspections, lead safety meetings, investigate incidents, and drive corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and manage production personnel across multiple manufacturing areas.
- Establish clear expectations, responsibilities, and performance standards for direct reports.
- Recruit, train, coach, develop, and evaluate team members.
- Address employee concerns, investigate issues, and resolve workplace challenges.
- Develop training plans and succession strategies to close skill gaps and support employee growth.
Production & Operations
- Execute production schedules by assigning personnel, setting priorities, monitoring progress, and resolving operational challenges.
- Ensure production targets, quality standards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) are consistently achieved.
- Monitor operational performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Prepare and communicate production performance reports.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve product and process quality issues.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, employee engagement, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Lead initiatives focused on 5S, waste reduction, process optimization, visual workplace improvements, and cost savings.
- Drive operational excellence and standardization across all shifts.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Foster strong communication and cooperation between departments.
- Support organizational change initiatives and business improvement efforts.
- Ensure consistency in policies, procedures, and operational standards throughout the facility.
Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive business information.
- Participate in domestic and international travel as required for training and business needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Minimum 4 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience managing teams of 100 employees.
- Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, quality systems, and team development.
