Manufacturing Maintenance Technician – Starting at $29/hr.
Location: North Haven, CT
Shifts Available:
- 2nd Shift: Mon–Fri, 3 PM–1:30 AM every other weekend
- Anything over 40 hours is time and a half and Sunday is double time
About the Role
A global leader in supply chain solutions is seeking a skilled and dependable Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to join our team in North Haven, CT. This is a hands-on position working with mechanical and electrical systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient facility operations. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on facility machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Maintain and service 3-phase 180/320/480-volt equipment.
- Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot air compressors and pneumatic tools.
- Perform repairs or replacements on defective parts, assemblies, and system components.
- Conduct regular facility and equipment inspections to identify potential failures or hazards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Collaborate with production and maintenance staff to minimize downtime.
- Accurately document maintenance work orders, parts usage, and repair details.
- Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Skills & Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Hydraulic system experience – Required
- Electrical experience with 3-phase 180/320/480V – Required
- Air compressor maintenance experience – Required
- Pneumatic tool troubleshooting/repair – Required
- Electro-welding experience – Required
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Welding or fabrication skills a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in an industrial environment.
- 2 years of industrial, warehouse, or manufacturing maintenance experience preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
