Role - Process Engineer - Injection Mold (Flex Flow) (NO C2C/C2H OR VISA SPONSORSHIP AVAILABLE)
Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
Location - Kendallville, IN or Montpelier, OH (Relocation assistance available)
Job description:
- Shift: 1st shift (8 AM – 5 PM) with 24/7 on-call availability as needed
Equipment & Technology
- High-tonnage injection molding presses:
- 4 presses (4,000-ton and 5,000-ton Millicon presses, plus Cosma5).
- FlexFlow (patented valve gate controller): Optimizes complex part flow by electronically controlling gates.
Skills & Experience Desired
- Background in RJG and Paulson preferred.
- Programming experience:
- Some tools/presses are not programmed—ability to develop programs is highly valued.
- Candidate will help establish processes to run injection molding machines.
- Strong ability to:
- Write SOPs.
- Monitor and reduce scrap.
- Exposure to paint and assembly departments is a plus.
SUMMARY
Responsible for the development and improvement of injection mold processes to increase efficiency and quality of operations. Provides the overall process design and suggested measures for improvement of manufacturing, thereby increasing productivity, customer satisfaction and profitability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Establishes and maintains process & process parameters for operations.
- Develop or revise work instructions, check sheets & other process documentation – write instruction books.
- Conducts & coordinates tests on systems to evaluate efficiency of the production process until implementation.
- Works with equipment designers and manufacturing to develop cost-effective and working production processes for new products.
- Oversees process design projects to make sure that the projects are completed on time.
- Follows all safety and personal protective equipment requirements while maintaining a clean work environment.
- Interfaces with suppliers, customers and other necessary personnel.
- Support TS16949 initiatives – audit compliant. Driving scrap.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associates Degree in Engineering or a minimum of two years related experience and/or training.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger; handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear. The associate is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is occasionally exposed to fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals and outside weather conditions. Exposure to extreme heat or cold may be encountered. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
Work will typically be from eight to ten hours per day, five days a week, with occasional travel, by car or commercial aircraft, for external meetings with customers.
