FOOD RUNNER

Responsible for food supply to the buffets

Responsibilities for Food Runner

- Report to: Supervisors

- Welcome and greet guest with a warm friendly smile

- Deliver food from kitchen to food station / skybox: gueridon trolley

- Consistently maintain organized and clean workspace and uniform

- Demonstrate courteous, friendly, and professional work environment

- Work cooperatively in a team environment

- Keep trays clean

- Obtain and maintain knowledge of all menu items

- Check all orders carefully, and communicate with waiters for any items out of the ordinary

- Ensure all orders coming from the kitchen are assembled and complete by area for pick up

- Ensure that serving utensils are available at buffet stations , and polish as necessary

- Make sure food stations are full at all items and communicate with waiters and kitchen if something is not correct or missing

- Well groomed, wearing approved uniform at all times

Qualifications for Food Runner

- At least 1 year of experience in service in gastronomic restaurants / high standards events

- Knowledge of principles, values and processes for providing exceptional guest service

- Ability to lift and carry heavy trays

- Able to work well under pressure

- Must speak English clearly

- Project a professional, friendly and courteous image to guests

- Perfect knowledge of food hygiene and the HACCP process

- Able to successfully complete assigned tasks autonomously

- Able to stand for long periods of time
