Job Description
- Support project managers and project directors on large power generation construction projects.
- Develop, maintain, and update the integrated project schedule across engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
- Incorporate contractor implementation details and site activities into the schedule baseline.
- Perform schedule updates using field observations, progress data, vendor inputs, and quantity tracking.
- Monitor schedule adherence and identify variances, delays, and recovery needs.
- Evaluate change requests, design updates, and vendor change orders for schedule impacts.
- Prepare routine project controls reports including progress summaries, forecasts, and analytical updates.
- Track and trend key project data to support leadership meetings and regular status reporting.
- Maintain work breakdown structures, baseline documentation, and project controls records.
- Participate in project reviews, audits, risk assessments, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Support field teams during construction mobilization with on-site progress verification and schedule integration.
- Provide technical support for scheduling and project controls activities throughout all phases of work.
- Coordinate with contractors to gather and validate updated schedules and progress reports.
- Support the development of recovery plans for delayed activities and critical path items.
- Ensure project controls processes and documentation follow established standards and requirements.
- Prepare high-quality reports and presentations for project leadership and management reviews.
- Collaborate with field personnel to ensure alignment between planned work and actual progress.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction, Business, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Six or more years of experience in project controls, scheduling, or planning within industrial, construction, or energy projects.
- Strong background in schedule development, progress tracking, field integration, and change impact evaluation.
- Proficiency with scheduling tools and construction project controls software.
- Experience performing schedule updates based on field measurements and site observations.
- Ability to analyze schedule data, identify issues, and communicate findings clearly.
- Experience with Primavera P6 or comparable scheduling systems.
- Experience coordinating contractor schedules and reviewing vendor submittals.
- Familiarity with risk analysis, resource and quantity tracking, and forecasting.
- Background supporting large capital construction or power generation projects.
