This is a relationship-driven, high-impact role responsible for expanding the firm's presence in the mission critical space across Texas and nationally.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Growth & Market Positioning
- Develop and execute a growth strategy to capture new business in the mission critical/data center market.
- Identify target clients, developers, consultants, and strategic partners in the hyperscale, co-location, and enterprise data center sectors.
- Drive market intelligence gathering and competitor analysis to inform pursuit strategies.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in the mission critical ecosystem (developers, REITs, hyperscale clients, MEP engineers, etc.).
- Lead pursuit teams through RFQ/RFP processes, interview prep, and proposal development.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients throughout the business development lifecycle.
- Partner closely with preconstruction, estimating, and executive teams to align on project pursuits.
- Track pipeline metrics, lead generation, and conversion analytics using CRM and reporting tools.
- Represent the firm at conferences, industry events, and client functions.
- 8 years of business development or client-facing experience in construction, engineering sectors.
- Deep understanding of mission critical project types, delivery methods, and client requirements.
- Proven ability to build high-value relationships and close deals in competitive markets.
- Willingness to travel regularly to meet clients, attend events, and support pursuits nationwide.
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Base Salary: $250,000–$300,000 (based on exp.)
