We are seeking an experienced and bilingual Warehouse Manager to oversee daily operations at our produce distribution facility. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ERP and WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) using RF (radio frequency) scanning technology and a strong background in perishable/produce logistics. Bilingual ability in English and Spanish is a plus.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, storage, order picking, packing, and shipping of fresh produce
- Manage inventory accuracy using ERP and WMS/RF scanning systems, ensuring real-time data integrity
- Supervise, schedule, and train warehouse staff across receiving, picking, and shipping functions
- Monitor cold chain compliance, product rotation (FIFO/FEFO), and quality standards to minimize spoilage and shrinkage
- Coordinate with procurement, sales, and transportation teams to ensure timely order fulfillment
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations (HACCP, GMP, OSHA) and company safety policies
- Track KPIs such as order accuracy, on-time shipping, labor productivity, and inventory shrinkage
- Manage warehouse labor scheduling to align with seasonal volume and shift coverage needs
- Conduct regular cycle counts and coordinate physical inventories
- Troubleshoot ERP/WMS system issues and liaise with IT or vendors as needed
- Lead daily team briefings in both English and Spanish to ensure clear communication across shifts
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 years of warehouse management experience, preferably in produce, perishables, or cold storage distribution
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar)
- Proficiency with WMS platforms using RF/handheld scanning technology
- Strong understanding of inventory control, FIFO/FEFO rotation, and cold chain handling
- Proven leadership and team supervision experience
- Familiarity with food safety and regulatory standards (HACCP, GMP, OSHA)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment
- Ability to work the required schedule: Tuesday–Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (written and verbal)
- Experience in the fresh produce, perishables, or cold storage industry
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Experience managing seasonal/variable labor forces
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Warehouse and cold storage environment; exposure to varying temperatures
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
WORK SCHEDULE
- Tuesday–Friday: Afternoon Shift
- Saturday: Morning Shift
