We are seeking a Director of Business Development to lead growth efforts for our non-union electric distribution operations. This role focuses on expanding relationships with investor-owned utilities, cooperatives, and municipalities across targeted markets.
🔌 Responsibilities- Drive business development strategy for non-union distribution (overhead & underground) projects
- Build and maintain senior-level relationships with utilities, co-ops, and municipal clients
- Identify and pursue RFPs, MSAs, and long-term distribution programs
- Coordinate pursuit strategy with estimating, operations, and executive leadership
- Track utility capital plans, storm programs, and system hardening initiatives
- Represent the company at utility meetings and industry events
- 7 years of experience in utility distribution business development or operations
- Strong understanding of Contractor markets
- Experience with overhead distribution, underground, and storm response programs
- Proven success securing long-term utility contracts
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Willingness to travel as required
