SUMMARY OF THE MAIN FUNCTION/PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
- The Market Supervisor is a full-time, year-round employee who is responsible for opening the store, training new hires, ordering, receiving, and ensuring guest satisfaction for the Market Shoppe at Portofino.
KEY PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise the Market and Starbucks staff. This includes daily inspections, holding employees accountable, and ensuring our culture is being adhered.
- Work in congruence with the Managers to properly train all Starbucks Employees
- Perform Daily lineups and give daily sales goals and objectives
- Inspect what we expect by ensuring checklists are complete
- Maintain a safe working environment at all times. This includes looking out for the safety of co-workers, guests, owners, and the general public.
- Assist manager with training and development of new staff for retail
- Ordering of Starbucks, Vistar, City Produce, Coke, and Chaney Brothers
- Assist admin in receiving and tagging of new merchandise.
- Maintain par levels for all items within the Market, including Starbucks, grocery, essentials, and apparel
- Assist with monthly inventory and transfer of products within departments
- Assist Retail Supervisor in receiving, tagging, and restocking
- Knowledgeable in resort-wide activities and programming.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
- Have a strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, creative problem solving, effective delegation and follow-up, and the ability to get the team to execute priorities.
- Ability to be a role model and consistently exhibit the highest level of professionalism and integrity.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekend and night shifts.
- Responsible for all sales tickets/receipts, end-of-shift financial reports, and daily inventory records.
- Self-starter who consistently delivers an outstanding, personalized retail experience
EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree-seeking or graduate.
- Prior experience in a fast-paced, customer service industry is preferred
SPECIALIZED EQUIPMENT:
- Knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing required.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business information.
- Ability to organize and write reports and business correspondence.
- Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts and information. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions when furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
- Micro, printer, calculator, and standard office equipment and machines as required.
- Use of Starbucks equipment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and is required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, sit, and walk.
