Activities Assistant Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement activities that cater to the diverse interests and abilities of our residents, including games, crafts, outings, and other recreational programs
- Encourage socialization and interaction among residents, families, and staff through various activities and events
- Develop and maintain relationships with local community organizations and vendors to provide opportunities for residents to engage in outside activities
- Collaborate with the activities director to create and implement activity programs that meet the needs of our residents
- Assists with daily living tasks and supports the overall care of our residents as needed
- Maintains accurate records of resident participation, activity schedules, and supplies
- Participates in staff meetings and contributes to the overall success of our activities program
- Prior experience in a healthcare or activities setting (training provided)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift 25 pounds and stand for extended periods
