Transport Aide Responsibilities
- Safely transport patients throughout the facility using wheelchairs, stretchers, and other equipment as needed
- Assist patients with walking, transfers, and ambulation to maintain their independence and mobility
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, promoting a positive and respectful environment
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure patient needs are met and provide updates on patient progress
- Maintain accurate records of patient care and transportation, observing HIPAA guidelines
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with industry best practices and facility policies
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment up to 50 pounds, as needed
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
