RN Unit Manager Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to a team of registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and certified nursing assistants to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care
- Develop, implement, and evaluate unit policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices
- Collaborate with other departments, including nursing, therapy, and administration, to ensure seamless coordination of care
- Conduct regular rounds to assess the quality of patient care and provide feedback to staff
- Identify and address patient care issues, ensuring prompt resolution and referral to higher-level care as needed
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance improvement projects to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
- Mentor and coach staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge
- Maintain accurate and timely records and reports, including patient charts and performance metrics
- Current RN license in the state of New York
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field
- Prior experience as a registered nurse, with experience in a long-term care or sub-acute setting
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with ability to inspire and motivate team members
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on patient care and satisfaction
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to identify and address patient care issues
