About The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Director of Dietary Services to join our team at our state-of-the-art facility in The Bronx, New York. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the dietary services department, ensuring that our residents receive exceptional nutrition and meal services that meet the highest standards of quality and care.
Director Of Dietary Service Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain dietary services programs that promote the health, well-being, and satisfaction of our residents
- Manage and supervise a team of dietary staff, including dietitians, cooks, and assistants
- Coordinate with other departments, such as nursing, activities, and social services, to ensure seamless service delivery
- Conduct regular evaluations and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Manage dietary supplies, inventory, and budget
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other external partners
- Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting
- Current Food Handler Certification and ServSafe certified
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
