Job Overview
Premier Equipment is seeking a driven, hands-on General Manager to lead and grow our equipment dealership operations. This role is responsible for overseeing all departments including sales, service, parts, and rental, while driving profitability, accountability, and team performance.
The ideal candidate is not a sit-behind-the-desk manager. This is a leadership position for someone who is actively involved in the day-to-day operations, supports the team, and pushes the business forward. We are looking for someone who can lead from the front, make decisions, and hold people accountable while building a strong, positive culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of all departments: Sales, Service, Parts, and Rental
- Drive revenue growth and ensure profitability across all areas of the business
- Manage and develop department managers and staff
- Monitor financial performance, budgets, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Ensure all departments are operating efficiently and meeting company standards
- Enforce company policies, processes, and accountability across the organization
- Work closely with ownership on strategy, goals, and expansion plans
- Improve operational systems and processes to increase efficiency and profitability
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and manufacturers
- Step in and assist departments as needed to ensure smooth operations
- Lead hiring, training, and performance management of employees
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality
Qualifications & Experience
- 3 years of management experience within a dealership or closely related industry, including but not limited to:
- Equipment dealerships (construction, agricultural, compact equipment)
- Heavy equipment rental businesses
- Truck dealerships
- Automotive dealerships
- Powersports or trailer dealerships
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Proven ability to drive sales and improve profitability
- Experience managing multiple departments or business units
- Financial understanding including budgeting, margins, and cost control
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to hold employees accountable and manage performance
- Self-motivated, organized, and results-driven
- Willingness to be hands-on and involved in daily operations

Pay: $85,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
