Summer Camp Lead Teacher

A Child's Place in Antioch is a licensed childcare center seekingSummer Camp, School Age Teachers to support our summer program.

To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require higher education in ECE or Elementary Ed. and the ability to pass all background checks. Must be at least 23 years old, position requires driving our 14 passenger van for fieldtrips. A plus if you have previous camp/fieldtrip experience!This is a full-time, seasonal/summer position.

Required Shift: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm

Compensation: $19 - $20/hour based on education and experience

Main Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare lessons that are developmentally appropriate using current curriculum guides. 
• Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; and maintaining an organized, clean, safe environment. 
• Provide additional supervision of children during field trips and off-site activities.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
• Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
