School Age Lead Teacher

Village Children's Academy of Hinsdale is a licensed childcare center seeking School Age Lead Teachers to support our program.

To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require higher education in ECE or Elementary Ed. and the ability to pass all background checks. Aplus if you have previous childcare experience!This is a full-time, seasonal position.

Required Shift:Monday - Friday, 9am-6pm

Compensation: $18 - $20/hour based on education and experience

Main Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare lessons that are developmentally appropriate using current curriculum guides. 
• Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; and maintaining an organized, clean, safe environment. 
• Provide additional supervision of children during field trips and off-site activities.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
• Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
