Position Overview
We are seeking a results-driven Commercial Construction Project Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects from pre-construction through close-out. The ideal candidate is a highly organized problem-solver with a proven track record of managing complex projects and delivering exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities
- Preform detailed quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
- Lead and support the bidding process including subcontractor and/or vender outreach and bid evaluations.
- Coordinate pre-construction planning, permitting and material procurement.
- Obtain and evaluate submittals.
- Prepare and manage project budgets and timelines.
- Manage all phases of construction projects including scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor management, and quality control.
- Communicate regularly with clients, design teams, engineers and subcontractors.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
- Track and manage project costs and change orders.
- Ensure all projects are delivered in compliance with safety standards, contract requirements, and company policies.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and resolve issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or at least five years of experience managing commercial construction projects is required.
- Proven ability to perform detailed take-offs, develop accurate estimates and create project proposals.
- Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and construction methods.
- Proficiency in project management software including Autodesk Build, Planswift, and Smartsheet.
- Strong understanding of construction documents, means and methods, and cost control.
- Excellent communication, leadership, organization and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
- PMP, OSHA 30, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
