Summary: The Payoff and Reinstatement Clerk will handle review and processing of external payoff and reinstatement quote requests. This includes working with the client and borrowers regarding requests to allow borrowers to cure any outstanding defaults to bring the loan current, or pay off the debt in full. This position will handle this process from start to finish, including assessing appropriate enterprise fees and costs associated with files, and ensuring appropriate fees and costs are passed through and recovered from the borrowers. Will work with various client systems and internal systems to provide accurate external quotes to the borrowers and authorized third parties in compliance with state-specific requirements. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle workload of payoff and reinstatement quote requests. Will address external quote requests from borrower and authorized third party and client-requested quotes to external parties. Will maintain daily workload and utilize internal Case Management System for tracking of workload completion.
  • Will be trained on client requirements for external quotes, timelines as well and expectations of client-specific items that need to be omitted from quotes.
  • Utilize several client systems requesting payoff and reinstatement figures from our clients and complete client-specific quote processes as quotes are completed. Will need to meet various client-specific timelines for completion of external quotes.
  • Will be trained on state-specific limitations on certain fees and costs that must be adhered to when drafting.
  • Drafting and processing payoff and reinstatement quotes in the internal Case Management system.
  • Assisting with handling of group inbox for intake of client requests for payoff and reinstatement quotes.
  • May perform other duties as assigned to support department goals.
  • May occasionally work extended hours based on operational needs.

  • Strong math skills.

  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Works well in groups or independently.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a clerical, billing, or accounting support role, preferably within a legal or financial services environment.

Work Schedule:

The work week is typically Monday through Friday, with business hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Employees are required to be onsite 2-3 days per week following a 90-day training period and upon management approval.

Salary Range:

The salary for this position typically ranges from $15-$17, depending on qualifications, experience, and other factors. Please note that the final offer may differ based on the candidate's specific qualifications, skills, and experience, as well as internal equity and business needs.
