Description
The Propane Service Technician is responsible for the day to day operation and customer service for the propane department. He/she is the primary person for the installation of propane tanks.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Installation of propane tanks
- Bulk plant compliance
- Respond to emergency service calls as needed
- Maintain timely, accurate records on sales and inventories
- Maintain safety standards at all times
- Look for opportunities to sell additional products and services
- Operate within the standards set by USDOT and FMCSR
- All other general labor duties as needed
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Knowledge of Propane industry/Will Train
- Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
- Knowledge of basic mechanics
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of individuals
- Ability to follow established processes
- Basic knowledge of computers and basic software
- Ability to manage time effectively
- Knowledge of basic commercial truck maintenance
Education:
- High school degree or equivalent
- CDL license with the appropriate endorsements
- CETP Certification
Physical Requirements:
- Able to reach, pull and lift 50 lbs
- Able to handle repetitive lift and pull motion
- Able to read documents with fine print
- Able to use a keyboard
- Able to hear effectively on the phone
