Job description:

Pregl Services, Inc. is seeking a Planning and Production Coordinator to manage production schedules, materials, inventory, and job priorities across our manufacturing and service operations. This position works closely with Operations, Purchasing, Engineering, Sales, and Shop personnel to ensure that materials and information are available when needed and that customer commitments are supported by accurate, practical production plans.

The successful candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable balancing changing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Operations.

The Planning and Production Coordinator demonstrates proficiency in:

  • Production planning, scheduling, and priority management
  • Inventory control, cycle counting, and material accuracy
  • Manufacturing workflow and work-order coordination
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop
  • Microsoft Excel and accurate data entry
  • Reading bills of materials, drawings, and job documentation
  • Communication, organization, and cross-functional teamwork
  • Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and communicate production schedules based on customer requirements, available labor, material availability, equipment capacity, and established priorities.
  • Coordinate with the Vice President of Operations and department leads to sequence work, identify constraints, and adjust schedules when priorities, materials, or capacity change.
  • Create, release, update, and close work orders; confirm that drawings, bills of materials, routing information, and required documentation are available before work begins.
  • Monitor job progress against the production plan and communicate delays, shortages, capacity concerns, and revised completion dates to the appropriate team members.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, purchased components, work-in-process, consumables, and finished goods.
  • Perform and coordinate cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, complete approved inventory adjustments, and support physical inventory activities.
  • Establish and maintain item numbers, descriptions, units of measure, storage locations, minimum/maximum quantities, reorder points, and other inventory data.
  • Review material requirements and shortages; coordinate with Purchasing to support timely ordering, expediting, receiving, and delivery of materials and components.
  • Verify inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, transfers, returns, scrap, and job closeout, are entered accurately and promptly.
  • Coordinate kitting and material staging so production teams have the correct parts, quantities, and documentation when work is scheduled to begin.
  • Maintain organized inventory and storage areas with clear identification, traceability, and adherence to company safety and quality practices.
  • Support continuous-improvement efforts related to planning, material flow, inventory accuracy, lead times, and operational efficiency.
  • Participate in production meetings and provide clear updates on schedules, material availability, constraints, and follow-up actions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation:$25-$35 Based on experience and qualifications

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift typically
  • Monday to Friday 7 am to 3:30pm
  • Some overtime as needed

Supplemental pay types:

  • Bonus pay

Education:

  • Associate's degree in operations, manufacturing, business, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered

Experience:

  • Two or more years of production planning, inventory control, materials coordination, or related manufacturing experience preferred
  • Two or more years of experience using QuickBooks Desktop
  • Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general office software
  • Forklift operation

Physical and work requirements:

  • Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments and communicate effectively with shop personnel
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and occasionally lift or move materials weighing up to 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to follow all required safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment when entering production areas

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
