Job description – Mechanical Draftsman
- Pregl Services Inc. is looking to hire a Mechanical Draftsman with strong mechanical skills to perform mechanical detailing assignments using Solidworks.
- Detailing assignments include mechanical details from designs, mechanical redraws from pencil drawings, and mechanical redraws from CAD files.
- Additional responsibilities include organizing job releases, inventory data entry, customer manual creation, and Pregl Service’s manual creation.

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Follow general objectives on every project
- Follow Pregl Service’s standard procedures and practices for creating detail drawings for Vacuum Furnaces and Hot Zones
- Follow the engineering release procedure and monitor the adherence to cost and schedule guidelines
- technical support and guidance to manufacturing, purchasing and assembly during the manufacturing phase.
- Follow engineering guidelines established using proven Pregl Service’s standards, ANSI 14.5 standards, and drawing procedures
- Analytic and problem-solving skills
- Logic and critical-thinking skills
- Organizational skills
Requirements:
- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or up to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Fluent and Proficient in Solidworks a plus. Fluent and Proficient in Microsoft Products such as Excel, Word, Power Point, and Windows 7. Ability to work with Inventory Control System (ICS), Production Control Systems (PCS), and Quality Control Systems (QCS).
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
- Must be self-motivated, organized, and responsible to plan, execute, and document.
- Must be able to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member, assisting when and where needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour based on experience
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift typically
- Monday to Friday 7am-3:30pm
- Some overtime required (not regularly job specific)
