Preferred Powder Coating is looking for a hands-on Maintenance Technician to help keep our facility and production equipment running safely and efficiently. If you enjoy troubleshooting, fixing problems, and working on a variety of mechanical and facility projects, we'd love to meet you.
This position works closely with our Maintenance Manager to minimize downtime, improve equipment reliability, and support daily manufacturing operations.
What You'll Do
- Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
- Repair and maintain building systems, including lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and ventilation
- Perform facility repairs including doors, locks, windows, and general building maintenance
- Assist with equipment installations and shop improvements
- Inspect and maintain safety equipment and fire protection systems
- Complete outdoor maintenance including snow removal, lawn care, parking lot upkeep, and general grounds maintenance
- Help improve equipment efficiency and recommend upgrades when appropriate
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Respond quickly to maintenance issues to keep production running
What We're Looking For
- 2 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience preferred
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and solve problems independently
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Ability to read equipment manuals, work instructions, and safety procedures
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Welding, fabrication, machining, electrical, or PLC troubleshooting experience is a plus
- Ability to work weekends as needed
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift
- Frequently lift up to 50 pounds
- Work around manufacturing equipment in a warm industrial environment
- Ability to bend, climb ladders, kneel, and work in tight spaces when needed
Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
