Dog Walker and Pet Sitter

Overview

Preferred Pet Sitter is looking for a reliable, compassionate pet sitter to join our small, growing team.

This role is perfect for someone who truly loves animals and takes pride in being dependable and communicative. Our goal is to provide high quality pet care so pet parents have peace of mind, and we are looking for someone who understands that great responsibility.

This is flexible, part time work where you can build meaningful relationships and make a positive impact in the lives of pets and their families, while staying active and working with animals every day.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Walking dogs
• Feeding pets and following detailed care instructions
• Administering medications if needed
• Providing companionship and attention during visits
• Sending clear, thoughtful updates to clients after each visit
• Providing overnight care when needed

What We’re Looking For

• Someone who is reliable and responsible
• Strong communication skills
• Genuine love for animals of all types and temperaments
• Ability to follow instructions closely and ask questions when needed
• Respectful and responsible when working in clients’ homes
• Comfortable working independently

Additional Details

• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be comfortable with a flexible schedule (mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays)
• Looking for someone interested in a longer term opportunity (6 months preferred)

Compensation

• Pay varies based on visits and overnight care
• Independent contractor position
• $100 hiring bonus after 90 days for committed team members
