Preferred Pet Care, Inc. is an all-inclusive, luxury resort for dogs located in Maplewood, NJ with almost thirty years in business. We offer overnight boarding, doggie daycare, bath/spa services, and a retail area. Our facility is situated on one acre in Maplewood, conveniently located less than five minutes from Route 78 and fifteen minutes from Liberty International Airport. We are also easily accessible via GSP.

We are so busy that we're looking for some energetic, reliable, and hard-working individuals to join our team to care for our dogs during their stay. This is NOT a position for a student or a seasonal job...we need you available all year-round and without school restrictions. This is a very unique position for the right person with a valid NJ Driver's License and a clean, no-points/tickets driving history. A background check may be in order for insurability purposes. In this position, you are required (for only a few hours each day) to pick-up and/or drop-off our taxi service dogs in our luxury doggie bus! THIS IS NOT A DRIVING ONLY POSITION!! When not driving, your help is needed as a Kennel Attendant in our state-of-the-art facility to take care of our dogs. Some front desk duties are needed, including but not limited to - checking in/out customers, computer entries, basic math, operate point-of-sale (POS) system & process payments, good phone skills, filing, etc.

We have PT positions to start, with very limited FT positions that may become available for the right candidates once training is complete. Requirements

Because we are in the business of caring for doggies, we are open 365 days/year in order to care for our overnight guests. We work indoors and outdoors in all kinds of weather, so you would need to be reliable to report to work whenever you are needed. Ideally, you should be absolutely flexible to work various hours/days during the week, including weekends and holidays. There is NO overnight work. Our hours of operation are Monday thru Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; Saturday, Sunday and holidays, 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Experience working with dogs is preferred. Being familiar with local, nearby towns or possess a good sense of direction is a bonus!
