Role: Registered Nurse (RN) in Medical Surgical (Med Surg) on 1 West, a 36-bed unit focused on cardiac, stroke, and higher-acuity medical patients.
Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care following standards and organizational policies. Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans; monitor and document patient conditions; collaborate across disciplines for comprehensive care; educate patients and families; delegate tasks to ancillary staff; and precept students and new hires.
Qualifications & Skills: Valid Maine RN licensure or ability to obtain; new graduates encouraged to apply. Ability to work three 12-hour night shifts weekly, including weekends and holidays. Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical judgment skills.
Key Duties: Assess patient needs, coordinate care, support patient education, and ensure optimal outcomes through resource management and interdisciplinary collaboration.
