- Assessing and monitoring residents' nutritional status, developing care plans, and providing recommendations to medical staff
- Evaluating residents' special needs related to nutrition, skin health, and weight issues
- Coordinating procurement of nutrition supplies and supplements with vendors and departments
- Overseeing meal service to ensure diet modifications are followed and educating residents, families, and staff on nutrition concepts
- Reviewing and updating dietary care plans, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team and speech-language pathologists to provide appropriate diets for residents with dysphagia
- Supervising dietary staff, conducting quality audits, and maintaining compliance with weight monitoring and safety standards
- Updating diet orders and menus daily in software systems and communicating regularly with team members
- Registered Dietitian credential
- Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Knowledge of state and federal guidelines
- Proficiency with EMR software and computer-based menu systems
