Role: MRI Technologist responsible for operating MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Screen patients for contraindications and prepare them for MRI exams.
  • Explain procedures, position patients, and perform routine and advanced MRI scans with minimal supervision.
  • Adjust scan parameters, follow physician instructions, and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Maintain patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Support MRI department operations by updating protocols, monitoring supplies, and assisting with staff training.
  • Ensure a clean, safe work environment and promote good safety habits.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications And Skills

  • ARMRIT or ARRT registration in good standing; licensed radiological technologist if required by state.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Experience performing MRI procedures independently.
  • Preferred: Bilingual abilities.
