Role: Provides nursing care and support in a provider's office, primarily for geriatric patients, ensuring quality patient care and smooth clinic operations.
Responsibilities: Includes clinical advice via phone/electronic communication, patient education on preventive care and chronic disease management, preparing patients for visits, administering medications and injections, assisting with procedures and minor surgeries, performing Point of Care testing, specimen collection, medication refills, wound care, maintaining exam rooms and equipment, coordinating care and referrals, and supporting performance improvement initiatives.
Qualifications: Completion of an LPN or RN program, current PA licensure, CPR/BLS certification, and ability to travel regionally.
Preferred Skills: 1-2 years of primary or specialty care nursing experience, including triage, ER, or ICU.
Physical Environment: Exposure to biohazardous waste and bloodborne pathogens.
Additional Notes: Secondary duties include front office tasks and on-call responsibilities. The role requires professionalism, confidentiality, and adherence to safety standards.
