Responsibilities Include
- Providing nursing care to Interventional Radiology patients
- Administering IV conscious sedation and medications under physician guidance
- Monitoring patient status during procedures and responding to emergencies
- Managing IVs, central lines, and dressing changes
- Collaborating with radiologists, technologists, and care teams to ensure safe, efficient procedures
- Supporting scheduling, patient flow, and educating patients and families
- Documenting care accurately in Epic and supporting quality initiatives
- Mentoring and training new staff members
- IL RN license and graduation from an NLN-accredited nursing program; BSN preferred (must obtain within 5 years)
- CPR, BLS, and ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Experience in Critical Care/Emergency Department, conscious sedation, or Medical Surgical with telemetry is highly preferred
