We are seeking a Center Medical Specialist to perform donor health assessments, build rapport, and ensure donor safety in plasma donation centers. Responsibilities include conducting physical exams, evaluating donor medical history, providing health education, managing adverse events, and assisting in staff training. The role requires maintaining donor confidentiality, educating donors on health and test results, and administering employee vaccination programs.
Qualifications: Current licensure or certification as an EMT- Basic, EMT- Advanced, Paramedic, RN, LPN, or Vocation Nurse in the state of employment, with CPR certification. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is required.
Key Skills & Attributes: Ability to perform physical activities such as standing, sitting, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Good hand-eye coordination, hearing acuity, and color perception. Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently within guidelines. Must adhere to safety protocols, including PPE use, and be comfortable working in biological and extreme cold environments.
