- Perform comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, social, and psychological status.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and revise individualized care plans, involving patients and families.
- Direct and delegate care activities, ensuring adherence to guidelines and professional standards.
- Prioritize and organize patient care, evaluate responses to interventions, and adjust plans accordingly.
- Manage staffing needs, overtime, and resources efficiently, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
- Lead operational and clinical activities, set clear expectations, and hold staff accountable.
- Mediate conflicts, promote effective communication, and support safety protocols, including activating emergency responses when needed.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with regulations and policies.
- Complete required Charge Nurse training and foster a culture of professionalism and accountability.
- Current RN license and Basic Life Support (BLS); additional certifications like ACLS or PALS as required.
- Experience in the clinical area, mentoring skills, and a BSN (or working towards it within four years).
- Strong assessment, planning, leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to see, read, communicate clearly, and perform manual tasks, including patient transfers and equipment handling.
- Capacity to stand, walk, lift, and navigate busy environments, with potential driving responsibilities.
