Registration Clerk – Outpatient Services
Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Summary
Preferred Family Healthcare is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Registration Clerk to support our Outpatient Services team in Quincy, Illinois. This full-time, daytime position plays a critical role in ensuring seamless client enrollment, accurate registration, and timely verification of services to support reimbursement and continuity of care.
In addition to general outpatient registration functions, this role provides daily administrative and financial support to our Methadone clinic, helping maintain accurate client records, fees, and payment plans. Essential Job Functions
Perform all client enrollment and registration functions in a timely and professional manner
Collect fees for services and maintain accurate financial records
Track authorizations to ensure all funding source and payer requirements are met
Verify services and documentation to support accurate billing and payment
Provide daily administrative support to the Methadone clinic, including:
Updating client fees
Maintaining financial information
Assisting with payment plans
Communicate effectively with clients, clinical staff, and internal departments to support smooth operations
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, in-person, and virtual interactions
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks accurately
Professional, compassionate approach when working with diverse client populations
Ability to follow procedures while maintaining confidentiality and compliance
Education & Experience Qualifications
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required
Prior experience in healthcare registration, billing, customer service, or administrative support is preferred but not required
Employment Requirements
Successful completion of all required background checks, including:
Criminal record
Driving record
Abuse/neglect registry
Fingerprint check
Completion of New Hire Orientation upon hire
Completion of all required training, including Relias at hire and annually thereafter
Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance
