This is a full-time on-site role, located in Jackson, NJ, for a Recreation Director. The Recreation Director will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing recreational programs for residents. Daily tasks include planning and coordinating activities, supervising recreation staff, ensuring activities meet therapeutic goals, and maintaining accurate records. The Recreation Director will also be responsible for managing the recreation budget and communicating effectively with residents, families, and staff.
- Supervisory skills and experience in managing recreation staff
- Knowledge and experience in recreation and therapeutic recreation
- Strong communication skills for interacting with residents, families, and staff
- Experience in budgeting and managing recreational program finances
- Degree in Recreation Therapy or a related field preferred
- Certifications such as CTRS (Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist) are beneficial
- Previous experience in a healthcare or skilled nursing facility is preferred
