The selected candidate will oversee the daily operations of our dietary department, including meal planning, food production, and quality control. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals to our patients, taking into account their dietary needs and preferences
- Lead and manage a team of dietary staff, including meal preparation, food production, and quality control
- Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs of our patients, incorporating clinical recommendations and cultural diversity
- Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety and sanitation regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and effective communication
- Develop and maintain a positive and respectful work environment
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and implement changes as needed
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including food service statistics and patient satisfaction
- Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, Food Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- At least 2 years of experience in food service management, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of dietary staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and demands
