What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Care Consultant position at Preferred Care at Home of North Nashville?
Title: Family Care Consultant
Location: Hendersonville, TN (Serving Sumner, Davidson, Wilson, and Robertson Counties)
The Heart of the Role: At Preferred Care at Home of North Nashville, we don’t just "sign up clients." We guide families through some of the most difficult seasons of their lives. When a daughter calls us because her father had a fall, or a husband calls because he can no longer care for his wife with dementia alone, they are looking for a beacon of hope. As our Family Care Consultant, you are that beacon.
You will be the first person these families meet in their homes. You’ll sit at their kitchen tables, listen to their stories, and help them design a plan that restores dignity to their loved ones and peace of mind to their family.
What You’ll Be Doing (and why it matters):
-
Guided Consultations: You will meet with approximately 3-6 families per week. Your goal isn't a "hard sell"—it’s to provide a solution that "leaves people better than you found them."
-
Lead Advocacy: You’ll proactively follow up with "warm leads." These aren't just numbers; they are families who reached out for help. You’ll stay top-of-mind until they are ready to take that next step.
-
Strategic Growth: You’ll work hand-in-hand with our Director of Marketing to identify community trends and attend local events to ensure Preferred Care at Home is the first name people think of when they need help.
- Community Partner Advocacy: A vital but smaller part of your role will be serving as a business development liaison. You will build and nurture genuine relationships with local community partners—such as rehab centers, doctors' offices, and senior centers—ensuring that when they have a family in need of a referral, Preferred Care at Home is the first organization they call.
-
A Smooth Hand-off: You’ll ensure that the unique needs and "little details" of every family are perfectly communicated to our operations team, ensuring the care starts flawlessly.
Why You’ll Love Working Here:
-
Award-Winning Culture: We aren't just saying we're good; our community and employees have proven it. We are a Top 100 Agency Nationwide and have been named a Tennessean Top Workplace for 2 consecutive years.
-
Purpose Over Paperwork: While there is data to track, your primary "KPI" is the relief you see on a family member's face when they realize they aren't alone anymore.
-
A No-Drama Zone: We have a close-knit team of 7 who genuinely enjoy working together. We look for and share goodness every day.
Who You Are:
-
Experience: You have a background in the senior industry (nursing, social work, funeral, memory care, or hospice) and understand the delicate nature of these conversations.
-
Values-Driven: You believe in doing the right thing for the right reasons.
-
Tech & Data Savvy: While not required, it would be highly beneficial if you have experience in data analysis and are comfortable with technology. We value a "data-driven" mindset—someone who can look at our lead sources and conversion metrics to help us make smarter marketing decisions.
-
The Basics: Valid driver’s license, professional demeanor, and a "take ownership" attitude.
What We Offer:
-
Estimated Total Compensation: $47,000 – $73,000 (includes a base salary of $47k–$50k plus performance-based incentives).
-
The Upside: We believe in rewarding the growth you bring to our mission. Your success in helping families directly impacts your earning potential.
-
Benefits: Simple IRA with Company Match, Flexible PTO, and a supportive, award-winning team culture.
-
The deep satisfaction of knowing your work directly changes lives in middle Tennessee and beyond.
Salary : $47,000 - $73,000
