Certified Welding Inspector

Preference Employment Solutions is confidentially recruiting for a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) for an organization based in Oakes, North Dakota. This position will require extensive knowledge of welding processes, standards, and practices.

Type of Position: Full Time – Direct Hire
Schedule: Monday-Thursday: 6am-4:30pm, Friday: 6am-12:00pm

Position Overview:

· Complete thorough weld inspection ensuring compliance with industry standards and company specifications

· Monitor and review welding procedures and practices to ensure they meet quality and safety requirements

· Document non-conformances and recommendation corrective actions

· Collaborate with engineering and production on welding issues and solutions

· Support development and review of welding procedures, specifications, and standards

Characteristics of a Successful Candidate:

· Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification from the American Welding Society (AWS) or equivalent

· In-depth knowledge of welding processes, materials, and quality assurance practices

· Proficiency in interpreting welding codes and standards (AWS D1.1 and ASME Section IX for example)
